Things You'll Need:
- 2 1/2 lbs of boneless chicken strips
- FOR THE MARINADE:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- FOR THE BATTER:
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Oil for frying
- FOR THE SAUCE:
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3 slices of lemon
- 2 tbsp of oil

Step 1
Fried chickenMarinate your chicken with soy sauce and salt for 30 minutes. Meanwhile make the batter and once your chicken is done marinating, coat your chicken with the batter. Heat the oil for deep frying and fry your chicken until cooked then move aside.

SauceUsing a sauce pan, make the sauce and add 3 slices of peeled lemon and stir. Try to stir well enough so that the sugar is mostly dissolved. A good tip would be to heat the chicken broth and pouring it over the sugar.

Heat 2 tbsp of oil and stir the lemon sauce mixture until it becomes clear and thick. Once your sauce is ready, remove the lemon slices.

Simply pour the sauce over your chicken and presto! You got yourself a delicious lemon chicken that you'll never forget! Serve it with white rice and broccoli. I found that sliced cucumbers tasted better than broccoli but it's your choice. Enjoy!
