    Eat a healthy diet.
    Eat 70% to 80% of your daily diet as fruit and vegetables. Avoid eating more than 10% of your daily calories as lean meat or fish. The balance of your daily calories should be whole grain nuts and beans. Drink plenty of water and avoid soda and other commercial drinks. Depending on how many calories you normally eat you may reduce your calories by about 500 per day just eating healthy. But eating healthy also gives you more energy and increases your metabolism. Your body will burn more calories naturally.

    Regular Physical Exercise.
    With regular physical exercise you can burn 500 to 1000 calories a day. You must aerobic exercise and resistance training to maximize the number of calories your burn in your weight loss program. Because exercise increases your energy and metabolism you will burn fat even after you stop exercising.
