Instructions

    • 1

Tape the toilet paper rolls together using duct tape. The number of toilet paper rolls will depend on how tall you want your bat to be.

    • 2

Trace a circle on the cardboard using the toilet paper roll. Trace a second circle an inch larger around that one.

    • 3

Cut out the bigger circle from the cardboard and glue it to the bottom of the toilet paper roll. This will be your bat handle.

    • 4

Wrap aluminum foil around the other end of the bat, making sure to place foil over the opening of the toilet paper roll. Wrap an ample amount of foil over it because this is the fattest part of your bat.

    • 5

Put duct tape around the foil at the part of the bat that is closest to the handle. Continue taping around the bat about a foot down from the foil. Start the tape thick and lessen the wrappings as you work your way down so the bat will have a little shape to it, getting fatter and fatter as you go up the bat.

    • 6

Glue the outside of the entire bat, including the foil and tape that you have put on the bat. Wrap foil three times around the outside of the bat to give it that aluminum bat color and shine.

Tips & Warnings

  • To eliminate the extra step of taping the toilet paper rolls together, try using a paper towel roll instead. A large roll from Christmas wrapping paper works best.

  • Duct tape can be hard to cut with child-proof scissors, so adults should help with this step if a child is doing this project.
