Learn what you can do to help soften your dry, cracked feet. This can be done overnight or during the day if you have the time.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • bucket or bowl
  • water
  • pumice stone
  • towel
  • petroleum jelly
  • 2 plastic grocery bags
  1. Step 1

Put water in the bucket or bowl. Find a comfortable place to sit and place the container of water there.

  2. Step 2

Soak your feet in the water until soft. This is a great time to catch up on reading or some other pastime that requires sitting.

  3. Step 3

When the skin on your feet has softened, then it is time to use the pumice stone. Pumice gently while you target the rough areas of skin.

  4. Step 4

Dry off your feet and now it's time to put the petroleum jelly on. Apply it wherever you have rough areas that need softening.

  5. Step 5

Place one plastic bag on each foot and tie at the ankle. Leave on overnight or for a good amount of time during the day. When you remove the bags you should have softer feet.

Tips & Warnings
  • The bags can be kept for the next time you do this foot treatment.
  • Keep the pumice stone, towel, petroleum jelly, and bags nearby.
  • You may need to do this treatment more than once for best results.
  • Keep plastic bags in a safe place away from children.
  • Keep everything nearby for convenience and safety.
