Color Palm Beach Coral Fondant for Wedding Cake

Palm Beach Coral is a very beautiful bright color to add to your cakes. This summer color will brighten your festive occasion. These simple instructions will save you a lot of time and guess work to obtain the color.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Cover your cabinet with a couple layers of wax paper.

  2. Step 2

Open two 24 oz. packages of Wilton ready to use white rolled fondant and place on the wax paper.

  3. Step 3

You can wear plastic gloves to protect your hands from being discolored by the food coloring.

  4. Step 4

Add 1 oz of Wilton rose pink food coloring paste, 1/2 oz of Wilton lemon yellow food coloring paste, 1 drop of blue food coloring, and 1 drop of green food coloring.

  5. Step 5

Lightly dust your hands or gloves with confectionary powder sugar to help prevent the fondant adhering to your hands or gloves. You may have to repeat this procedure several times during the process.

  6. Step 6

Begin folding and kneading the colors into the fondant. Once the colors begin to blend into the fondant, you can use a roll and pull action such as the procedure to make and pull taffy candy. Continue the process until the colors are completely blended.

  7. Step 7

If you do not use the fondant immediately, please wrap in wax paper and cover with plastic food wrap or foil. This will prevent the fondant from drying out.
