Vlogs can be made from a home computer using a webcam.

Video blogs, also referred to simply as "vlogs," are regularly scheduled personal or professional video releases that share a common theme or motif. Many vloggers choose to host their vlogs on Google's YouTube video hosting service, due to the ease of upload and distribution that YouTube offers. While some vlogs become popular through luck and word-of-mouth advertising, vloggers can take steps toward making their vlogs popular by advertising their vlogs and giving viewers a reason to come back week after week.
