How to see your house on Google Maps

When I first found out that you can see your own house on Google maps I was kind of uneasy about it. I was pretty surprised that this is legal. This is a step by step on how to use Google Maps Street views.

1. First things first go to Google maps.com. This link is found below in the resources.

2. I believe that Google Maps Street view only works for United States, Australia, and parts of Europe. Either enter a address or take the little yellow man located on the upper left of the map and go ahead and place him on the map.

3. For this ehow I am going to enter my home address and press the button search maps.

4. To the left you will see the possible searches, for my address there is only one option. Go ahead and click your option. A little address window will pop up on the screen and a small picture with a link for "street view". Go ahead and click street view.

5. Then just like that I am looking at my house. You can even go up and down the street by press the forward arrow on the map. This is crazy I know.

6. If you back out of the street view by pressing the "minus" symbol it will take you to a street map. Here you can also left click on the little yellow dude located on the left of the map and place him on the streets on the map to view different street views.
