The advantages of cooking with Oolong Tea are many. The tea- a black and green tea mix- contains slimming antioxidants that help jumpstart your metabolism. Oolong tea also blocks fat absorption and cholesterol. And it regulates your blood glucose levels to curb cravings. Cooking with it can make your dish diet friendly as well as extremely delicious!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 Oolong tea bags
  • 1 envelope (.25oz) unsweetened gelatin
  • 1 1/2 c fat free half & half
  • 1/3 c granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c water
  • 6 ramekins
  • sugar free chocolate sauce
  • strawberries
  • saucepan, whisk and small bowl
  1. Step 1

    Boil water in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and add the 3 Oolong tea bags. Cover and let steep for five minutes. Then discard bags.

  2. Step 2

    In a small bowl combine half & half and gelatin. Let this mixture sit until softened -about three minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Add sugar to saucepan with Tea. Bring to a boil, whisking until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.

  4. Step 4

    Add gelatin mixture and vanilla extract to the tea mixture in the saucepan. Whisk together until gelatin dissolves.

  5. Step 5

    Strain mixture and pour into ramekins or individual baking cups. Place in refrigerator to chill for 6 hours.

  6. Step 6

    Before serving, drizzle Panna Cotta with sugar free chocolate syrup and garnish with cut strawberries.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you do not have ramekins you may use a muffin pan.
