Use Common Sense to Stay Healthy and Avoid Swine Flu - H1N1

With Swine Flu, allergies, hay fever, and sinuses in season right now, there are many steps we can take to keep ourselves in good health.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Most importantly, wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. Wash your hands any time you are in public, such as after touching the shopping cart at the grocery store, and of course, after using the restrooms. If you are not able to locate a sink and hand soap, you should use anti-bacterial hand wash.

  2. Step 2

Carry a bottle of anti-bacterial hand wash in your purse or briefcase, as well as in your car. This way you will always have some handy.

  3. Step 3

Common sense, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Try to use kleenex or if not possible, cough into the bend of your elbow, rather than in your hand.

  4. Step 4

Try to avoid being around people who are ill. And, if you or your children are ill, stay home and keep them home as well.

  5. Step 5

Take daily vitamins. Make sure your children take a daily vitamin.

  6. Step 6

Drink orange juice and lots of water. Make sure you consume lots of fluids.

  7. Step 7

Get plenty of rest. Avoid stress when possible. Give yourself plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind.
