Swine Flu (Swine Influenza) is a new strain of the H1N1 influenza virus. Originally swine flu was only contagious through human to pig contact, but recently the strain has mutated and can now be spread through human to human contact. Cases have popped up in Kansas, California, New York City, Ohio, Texas and Canada. Symptoms of swine flu are aching muscles, runny nose, fever, lethargy and lack of apetite.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Wash hands frequently, or sanitize with a alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  2. Step 2

    Avoid touching your mouth, eyes or nose, without first sanitizing your hands.

  3. Step 3

    Avoid anyone who is coughing.

  4. Step 4

    Use a face mask when in public or with large groups of people.

  5. Step 5

    Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze to help avoid spreading germs.

  6. Step 6

    If you have flu like symptoms, stay home! Don't go to work or school. See your doctor.

  7. Step 7

    Thoroughly clean your produce. When possible buy locally grown fruits and vegetables.

  8. Step 8

    Never eat or drink after others. Unless you have completely sanitized the container.

  9. Step 9

    Avoid traveling to Mexico.

  10. Step 10

    Remain Updated. Check reputable resources to stay on top of the spread of this disease, as well as public health recommendations.

  11. Step 11

    Contact your doctor immediately if you have flu like symptoms.
