  • Adjustable wrench
  • Screwdriver
  • Water displacement lubricant

      Remove the plastic caps that are covering the bolts that hold the toilet seat down. Turn the bolts counterclockwise with a screwdriver. Remove the bolts and nuts. If the nuts and bolts are metal, they may be a little difficult to remove. If so, spray a water displacement lubricant on the bolts. Then remove the bolts and nuts.

      Lift off the old toilet seat and discard.

      Place the new toilet seat on top and position it so the mounts are directly over the holes.

      Put a bolt through the mount and the nut on the bottom of the bolt.

      Hold the nut in place with the wrench and turn the bolt clockwise with the screwdriver. Tighten the nut with the wrench. Repeat for the other side. If there are any covers, snap them in place. Shake toilet seat lightly to make sure it is on tight.
