Step 1
Meet all qualifications. In the state of Missouri, you must be at least 23 years old, qualify for a MO Driver's License or Non-Driver's License, and have lived in the state of Missouri for at least six months. You must also have a criminal record clean of any offenses that would keep you from owning a gun.

Step 2
Complete a firearms safety training program class taught by a certified instructor. You can find these programs by searching the internet or calling your local sheriff's office. Expect to pay around $100 - $200 for the class.

Submit your CCW application and proof of training class completion to your local sheriff's office. You will also need to pay an application fee of $100 (this amount may vary depending on your location).

Step 4
Wait for application approval. It can take up to 45 days to receive approval or denial from the sheriff.

Pick up your Concealed Carry Certificate of Qualification from the sheriff when notified of approval.

Take your Concealed Carry Certificate of Qualification to your local DMV office within seven days of pickup. The DMV will issue you a new driver's license that indicates your CCW status and expiration date. You will have to pay the standard driver's license issue fee.
