Contouring and Highligting Makeup

Contouring helps to define the face and creates a sense of balance. Contouring with makeup is usually applied on the temple area, nose, eyes, and chin areas. Select shades that are only about one skin tone away from your natural one.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To begin you need to cleanse, moisturized, and primed the face by applying concealer and foundation.

  2. Step 2

    Nose
To make you nose appear slimmer, apply contouring shade on each side of the nose, then use your fingers or sponge to blend. Next apply the highlighter down the center of your nose, the tip will be brightest this way and will play down the size of the bridge

  3. Step 3

    Cheekbones
Start by sucking in your cheeks, then apply a darker shade to the hollows with a soft blush brush and highlighter to the top of the cheekbones. Use a sheer coral or berry shade and apply that to the apples of your cheeks. Don't over due it!

  4. Step 4

    Chin
If your chin is small apply highlighter to the center of the chin ( the place directly below the center of your lip)

If you have a double chin apply the bronzer along the jaw line and blend it downwards towards your neck. This will creates depth and helps to strengthen the jaw line.

  5. Step 5

    Eyes
Using a soft eyeshadow brush, apply your contour shade in sweeping motions across your eye crease to contour your eyes. Next spply highlighter to your browbone and the inner corners of your eyes for a brightening effect

  6. Step 6

    Lips
If you want your lips to look more slimmer, then apply a deep shade of lip color to the entire lip.
To make your lips appear fuller you can apply a light lip color with shimmer or gloss. Then apply highlighter between the peaks of the upper lip and below the center of the lower lip. This makes thin lips look full and gives a pouty appearance
