Mondays don't have to be perversely reminiscent of Garfield cartoons anymore.
Mondays don't have to be perversely reminiscent of Garfield cartoons anymore.

Mondays are now and have long been the scourge of working people and students alike. These days no longer have to hold terror over the hearts of people, with a little preparation, Mondays can be your time to start the week off right!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cup of coffee or caffeinated beverage of choice
  • Some inspirational music
  1. Step 1

We usually are jostled awake Monday morning, later than we ought to be up and hurrying ourselves along to make up for lost time. This frantic dash to our responsibilities makes us skip breakfast, ignore our routines and feel hurried and grumpy throughout the day. Have a stable method of alarm set and ready to go so you wake up on-time and ready to start your day.

  2. Step 2

If you're not a morning person and you know you have shaving, showering and shampooing to do in only a few minutes, get them done the night before. I dunno how much you trust yourself with a razor to your face (or other regions) at 6:00 in the morning, but I generally don't recommend this to people who enjoy their faces (or other regions).

  3. Step 3

Eat breakfast. Yes, you've heard this from your doctor, your mom, your teachers and most people since you've known the meaning of the word. There's a reason for this, it's important, the most important meal of the day! Don't feel like you have to spend a lot of time to eat right, just have the building blocks of a good breakfast (fruit, grains, dairy, proteins) at the ready so you can munch as you're getting ready or on your way out. Just make sure you eat something, it improves mood, memory, metabolism, drive, energy...is there any other reason you need to eat in the morning?

Tips & Warnings
  • Your favorite tunes will inspire and cheer you up as you prepare yourself for your long day ahead.
  • Driving with anger is a bad idea and doesn't make you less stressed, just more so.
  • Being angry or rude to people you meet in the mornings ruins other's days as well as your own. When you're down, don't be irritable and mean, just keep smiling and going about your business, it'll be alright.
