Magnesium sulfate (Epson Salt) is an inexpensive natural remedy for toenail fungus as it reaches the deep layers. Before starting the Epsom Salt soaks, clip the infected nail and file as short as possible. This should be done frequently enabling Epson Salt to penetrate the nail bed.

Add 3/4 cup of Epson Salt to a bathtub or basin filled with enough warm water to cover your feet. Soak toes for about 20 minutes. Repeat this procedure at least twice a day, if possible, for several weeks as a remedy for toenail fungus. Every few soaks, add extra salt and dig in the infected toe(s).

  3. Step 3
Wear Flip Flops or Sandals as a Preventitive

Fungus thrives in moist places. It is important to dry feet thoroughly after the soak. Wear open toe sandals or flip flops as much as possible to prevent fungus regrowth. If you do wear socks while at work, school or recreation, remove them as soon as you get home. Wear flip flops when showering in public places like gyms and campgrounds.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add scented essential oils or rose petals to the soak for a relaxing spa experience at home.
  • Another benefit of the soaks is relief from foot muscle pain.
  • Since toenail fungus is hard to cure, allow several weeks before seeing a result.
