How to Make Easy Homemade Frozen Peach Yogurt

When peaches are in season and plentiful. Pick your own or buy some at your local market. You can freeze or can this fruit easily. This saves them to make many wonderful desserts, pies, cobbler, cakes, ice cream or frozen yogurt. This yogurt recipe is an easy, creamy, frozen treat.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened sliced peaches
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup COLD water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups reduced fat vanilla yogurt
  • blender or food processor
  • large bowl
  • freezer container
  • 9 inch square dish
  1. Step 1

    Place peaches in a blender or food processor; cover and process until pureed. Set aside. In a small saucepan combine the cold water and unflavored gelatin; let set for a minute. Stir in the sugar. Cook and stir on low heat until the gelatin and sugar are dissolved.

    In a bowl, combine the yogurt, peaches and gelatin mixture, stir until well blended. Pour into the 9 inch pan. Cover and freeze for 3 to 4 hours or until partly set. Place in a mixing bowl and beat on medium speed until smooth.

  3. Step 3

    Pour into freezer container, cover and freeze until firm. Should take about 2 hours.
    Makes 6 servings

Tips & Warnings
  • Store in freezer. Use within 3 weeks
