Let's face it, shopping for a new swimsuit can prove to be a challenge for most of us. There is good news: Now days, there are many different style to choose from so you can find the best bathing suit for your body type. There are so much more than just simply a one piece or a two piece swimsuit. There are tankinis, bikini, one piece suits and ever thing in between. Here are a few suggestions to help you find the perfect suit for you.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A budget for you new swimsuit
  • some magazines or store circulars
  • the Internet (helpful but not necessary)
  1. Step 1

Set a budget. Swimsuits can vary a great deal in price so before you even start your hunt, set a limit that fits your budget.

  2. Step 2

Decide what style you want your swimsuit to be. If you are very confident with your body, go for the bikini. If you have areas you would rather conceal, look for options with your suit. For instance, to conceal your upper thighs and rear, think about the skirtini. If you need some extra support on top, consider a halter style. If you want to conceal your tummy, you could look at the tankini or a one piece with a tummy panel built in.

  3. Step 3

Next, do your homework. Look through weekly shopping ads and the Internet to find a variety of swim wear that you like.

  4. Step 4

Finally, take a trusted friend shopping with you. Give yourself plenty of time to hunt for those suits you saw in the flyers and online, and try them on. Ask your friends honest oponion and if the suit fits in the budget you set, purchase the suit you love and feel good in!

Tips & Warnings
  • try not to get discouraged if you try on suits you see in a flyer and they don't look the way you want them to on your body.
  • Before you go bathing suit shopping, make sure you shave your legs and maybe put some bronzer on your body so you have a 'summer glow'
  • do not buy a suit unless you love it and feel good about yourself in it
  • do not put pressure on yourself to look perfect in your swimsuit- no one does- try to accept your body and feel confident that you look your best!
