Even if (s)he cannot babysit by themselves, the 13 year old can earn money by babysitting for children while there are other adults around. They can play with the young children, read them books, put them to sleep, etc. while their parents are busy with other tasks. -

Open a lemonade stand -
This is the classic way for 13 year olds to make money, but it still holds. Try variations of the classical lemonade stand by selling canned sodas or fruit juices instead. People might not want to buy homemade lemonade from children, especially children they don't know. -
Step 3
Do chores for people -
Another easy way for 13 year olds to earn money is to do chores for friends and neighbors. They can peal vegetables, help make dinner, mow a lawn, vacuum a house, etc. There are many chores to be done and people are willing to pay. -
Step 4
Sell something homemade to friends and neighbors -
Perhaps the 13 year old has a special hobby or talent. May (s)he can paint, sew, write stories, etc. Have the 13 year old use their talent to make money by selling their homemade items to friends and neighbors. -
Step 5
Tutor other children -
A 13 year old can become a tutor and teach younger children who are having problems in school. They can help with math, reading, spelling, or any other school subject. This is a great way for a student who enjoys learning to earn some cash.
