Adobe's Photoshop CS4 is a very powerful tool for the casual to serious photographers and graphic artists. The more recent versions are able to automatically scale, morph, align and blend your pictures into a panorama.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photoshop CS4
  1. Step 1

Take a number of photos for use in the panorama and load them onto your computer.

  2. Step 2

Launch Photoshop CS4 and go to File -> Scripts -> Load Files into Stack...

  3. Step 3

Select the files for your panorama, uncheck all the boxes and click Ok.

  4. Step 4

Select all the layers and go to Edit -> Auto-Align Layers...

  5. Step 5

Set the Projection mode to Auto and uncheck the boxes under Lens Corrections and click Ok.

Once the layers have been aligned you should have a rough panorama with obvious edges.

  6. Step 6

Select all the layers again and go to Edit -> Auto-Blend Layers...

  7. Step 7

Set the Blend Method to Panorama and check Seamless Tones and Colors.

The panorama should now flow smoothly from end to end.

  8. Step 8

Select the crop tool and crop the majority of the white space from the panorama.

  9. Step 9

Now crop the remaining white space or use a variety of tools to fill the blank spots. Once they're gone, the panorama is complete.

Tips & Warnings
  • Lens Corrections might be needed depending on the photos.
  • Things to try: 360 Panorama - Take a photo, turn a little, take another, continue for a full turn.
