Are you someone who once enjoyed preparing your springtime garden but due to time, medical conditions or other obstacles you no longer can maintain a garden. Or are you someone who has never had a green thumb and can't seem to manage to grow anything for long? Perhaps you are like me and always seeking ways to recycle, conserve or be earth friendly. Regardless, we all deserve a beautiful garden and I will give you a couple of tips to create one without any water use thus conserving water. This is important especially if you live in an area where water is rationed during the spring and summer months. Have fun with these simple but fun tips to creating a colorful garden this year!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An assortment of artificial flower2
  • Gardening gloves
  1. Step 1

First locate an area on your lawn where you desire your garden to be. Preferably in a shady area so the sun won't quickly fade your flowers but that is optional because artificial flowers can last awhile without fading.

  2. Step 2

Gather your artificial flowers and separate them according to your preference as color scheme, style, etc. Lay the flowers beside you to work with later.

  3. Step 3

Pull those weeds. If you don't have weeds, skip this step. Otherwise, put on your gloves and slowly and safely clear away any weeds in the area you will be establishing your garden in. Dispose of weeds properly.

  4. Step 4

Place flowers in your garden area that you have now cleared. Ensure they are firmly stuck in the ground and will withstand rain or wind.

  5. Step 5

Step back at a distance and make sure your garden has the appearance you desire.

  6. Step 6

If you will be using landscape rocks, lava rocks, etc. lay them at this time.

  7. Step 7

You're done! Go grab your camera, take a photo and sip a glass of cold tea. You now have a garden that requires no water and will be colorful and full. You also have the unique option of switching out flower styles or colors for special holidays, seasons, etc.
