Instructions

    • 1

For the Red Cedar leaves, make sure the 1/4 cup is tight packed.

    • 2

Take the leaves, and chop them into smaller pieces, or put them in a processor. The pieces should be around 1/10th of their original size, a bit less would be fine, but you don't want them to be finely ground.

    • 3

Put the leaves into a small glass jar. If possible, use a dark glass jar, not a clear one.

    • 4

Warm the water in a double broiler set to high for about 2 minutes, then pour the water over the leaves.

    • 5

Add in the glycerin and alcohol, then stir the mixture together gently.

    • 6

Put the lid on tight, and store in a cool, dry place. Allow the mixture to set for about 10 days. Every day or two, try to remember to shake the container gently to help it steep thoroughly.

    • 7

After 10 days, strain the mixture into another jar or small bottle. Store the bottle or jar in a cool dry place between uses.

    • 8

To use the mixture, use a Qtip to apply it to the infected nail(s) 1-2 times per day.
