Use the steps below as an example of how to plan a healthy menu. You can change protein or vegetable or fruit given as an example for another one that you like better. Good luck and enjoy!

Instructions

    • 1

For breakfast, have a whole grain cereal with skim milk, a banana and a cup of coffee if you like it.

    • 2

A couple hours later, for a snack, eat a serving of cottage cheese and an apple.

    • 3

For lunch have a low calorie soup like chicken vegetable and a green salad with tuna.

    • 4

For afternoon snack try any raw veggies - green pepper, celery, carrots, cucumber, cauliflower - with hummus or a low fat ranch dip.

    • 5

For dinner have a protein like grilled chicken breast or salmon with a side of brown rice and spinach or asparagus.

    • 6

For desert, treat yourself to a sugar free jello topped with some raw nuts (a mix of almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, and raisins, for example).

    • 7

Finish the day with a cup of decaffeinated green tea.

    • 8

Reflect on how good it felt to eat healthy for one whole day and commit to doing it again. Change up the menu, of course. There are plenty of healthy recipes available on this site and elsewhere on the internet. Just do it and your body will thank you for it.
