Hummus is a delicious dip that you should serve at every party! Serve it with crackers or pieces of flat bread or with any vegetable platter. This is a quick and easy hummus recipe and you save money by making your own!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 can (15 oz) garbanzo beans or chick peas
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons lemon juice
  • dash of salt
  1. Step 1

    Drain the beans and rinse them well. Put them in a blender or food processor with all the other ingredients.

  2. Step 2

    Mix until smooth. If the hummus is too thick you can add a bit more olive oil or you can just add some water.

  3. Step 3

    When the mixture is well blended store in a covered container in the fridge until you are ready to use it!

  4. Step 4

    You can use fresh garlic or you can use garlic from a jar. If you use garlic from a jar you may want to add a bit more than 2 teaspoons because it tends to be not as flavorful as fresh.

  5. Step 5

    One batch will not last long! You may want to double up on this one. And since making your own hummus is so cheap you can afford to double up!
