Clean a stainless steel sink naturally

Keeping a stainless steel sink clean can be difficult. Using natural cleaning products to clean and shine a stainless steel sink will keep your kitchen looking beautiful and the air in your home safe for living!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Rinse all food down the drain. Clear the sink of any dishes, rags or other miscellaneous items.

  2. Step 2

Grab the baking soda and sprinkle it over the surface of the stainless steel. Use a DRY rag, gently use the rag in a circular motion to make a dry paste out of baking soda and a small amount of water. The sink will need to be clean before it can be shined!

  3. Step 3

Continue scrubbing out the sink until clean. If it does not seem to be getting clean, wipe out the sink and use less water. The baking soda should be more of an abrasive than liquid cleaner.

  4. Step 4

Spray the clean sink with vinegar. Use the rag to polish the sink until bright and shiny!

Tips & Warnings
  • If the sink is very dirty, spray baking soda on the vinegar and allow it to bubble up and sit. After a few minutes, attempt to scrub again.
  • Use a toothbrush to get into crevices around the faucet.
