Things You'll Need:
- Any scene book
- Any monolouge book
- A great movie
-
Step 1
When you are in the beginning stages of finding the right monologue for you, you have to break down the categories. Either dramatic, comedic, flirtatious, sexual, crazy, etc.. When you are picking a monologue that is either sexy or flirty or crazy, be careful. The director or agent you are auditioning for might be under the impression you are this way.
-
Step 2
After you have decided what you want, it has to relate to YOU. Don't pick it because your favorite actor performed it or because it was famous. You have to do a monologue that you like, you can relate to or connect to and will enjoy.
-
Step 3
I find memorizing the words and then adding emotion is better! If you memorize it with the emotions, it is very hard to change the way you have it in your mind.
GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOUR AUDITIONS!
