      Loosen the screws from both the clamp on the dryer connector and the clamp on the wall connector until the hose will slide off easily on both sides.

      Check the hose for small tears. If a tear is found, dispose of the hose and purchase a new one.

      If no tear is found, clean the lint out of the dryer hose.

      The steps for reconnecting the old and new dryer hose are the same. Place the clamp on one end of the hose where it will be able to slip over the connector on the dryer. Slip on the clamp and hose.

      Using the screw driver, tighten the screw until the clamp is tight but does not crush the connector.

      Follow steps 4 and 5 to connect the hose to the wall connector.
