Take Care of Your Kitchen Knives
Take Care of Your Kitchen Knives

I think we all need a little reminding sometimes on how to care for stuff. Knives can get pretty expensive. These steps will show you how to take care of your knives. These steps save your knives from going dull. I use to buy a new knive each time mine went dull, but since I do these steps I can save money now

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cutting board,dish soap,hot water,whetstone(sharpener),sharpening steel
  1. Step 1

Always use a cutting board everytime you are cutting something.

  2. Step 2

Wash knives sopay hot water immediately after each use. You can towel dry your knive or air-dry.

  3. Step 3

Always storeyour knives in some sort of knive block or find a protective case for them.

  4. Step 4

Sharpen our knife with a whetstone. I normally try to do mine atleast 1-2 times a month. Up to you on how many times you want to sharpen. Once your knive is sharp, you can occasionally realign the edge and remove nicks with a sharpening steel.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never wash your knive in a dishwasher. They can rust from the left over water.
