Things You'll Need:
- eggs
- black Marker medium thick
-
Step 1
To hard boil the eggs, fill a saucepan with enough cold water to cover eggs. Put heat on High and until water comes to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to low medium and let cook for another 8-10 minutes.
-
Step 2
To help yolks stay bright yellow, promptly place the eggs in a bowl of iced water until completely cooled. This will prevent the greenish “ring” from forming around the yolk.
-
Step 3
When the eggs are cool, place them on a flat surface. Make sure they are dry, as well as your hands. With the black marker, draw V-shaped lines pointing to the tip of the egg. The V's should be of varying thickness. The less uniform the lines the more natural it will look. Add some smaller half-V's in between those lines to mimic a Zebra's print.

on 6/5/2009 This is a really cool idea for decorating eggs. Thanks for sharing. This would even work for blown eggs. 5*
