There are times when the company would like to reward employee's for a job well done. Here are some tips to reward employee's without spending any money.

1. Employee morale is a very simple thing. Most people want to be appreciated. A sincere thanks to an employee is an effective form of recognition that doesn't cost your business a thing. Here are some other ways as well you can reward an employee informally and for free.

2. One way of rewarding employees is by making a performance based job promotion.

3. Another way of rewarding an employee is by recognizing an employee publicly in front of co-workers.

4. Use first names when greeting or recognizing an employee. Call your employee in your office to thank him/her without discussing any other topics. He/she will notice and it is a great morale boost.

5. Perform an employee's job for a day or answer the phone for him/her all day. You can also perform for the employee's least liked task for the day.

6. Do a personal task for them such as go pick up their lunch for them, sit with them at lunch or wash their car during your lunch.

7. Another reward idea is by having a personal letter (not a form letter everyone gets) written by the President of the company or a phone call made to his home recognizing his efforts and performance.
