Exfoliation (or sloughing off dead skin cells) is an important step in keeping your skin looking great. There are many ways to accomplish this, read on for some ideas.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The most obvious way to exfoliate your skin is to buy an exfoliator from the drug store and use it in the shower. Pretty much any product that calls itself a scrub will work. Just wet your skin in the shower, step out of the water, and rub the scrub into your skin. Use a circular motion, and concentrate on areas that seem rough or flaky.

  2. Step 2

If you want to go a more natural route, or save some money, you can use products that you probably have in your kitchen. Sugar or brown sugar both make a great exfoliant, just wet your skin, rub it on, and rinse.

  3. Step 3

An old trick is to mix your sun tan oil with beach sand and rub it all over your skin. You can then rinse off in the water.

Tips & Warnings
  • A loofah can help with your exfoliation.
  • If any product irritates your skin, stop using it immediatley.
  • Don't exfoliate more than once or twice a week, especially if you have acne prone skin. Over exfoliation can increase oil production and lead to more breakouts.
