Maintaining 100% Positive Feedback on eBay is hard work, but it can be acheived if you work at it. I am an eBay Powerseller with 100% feedback on over 2200 transactions. Here are a few tips on how to keep that feedback score high which will increase buyer confidence.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Describe your item accurately. Do not ramble on about the item in your description. Highlight the key points and the exact condition of the item. If there are any flaws point them out and try to include them in a close-up picture.

  2. Step 2

Offer a no questions asked return policy. The customer is always right. Do not forget as a seller you cannot leave negative feedback, but the buyer can. Bite the bullet and give the buyer there money back, it will be better in the long run to have a better feedback score

  3. Step 3

Answer e-mails as soon as you can during the auction and once the auction ends. Kill them with kindness. A quick professional response to a question can make a big difference in a bid. If someone knows you are on top of it, they will know you are dedicated to your eBay auctions

  4. Step 4

Charge exact shipping charges. Use the eBay shipping calculator and if it is a light item offer free shipping. Buyers these days know what it costs to ship things, this isn’t the 1990s anymore. If a buyer feels like they were ripped off on shipping charges they will leave a low rating on the shipping charges section of your feedback.

  5. Step 5

Leave positive feedback for the buyer right away. This is not like the old days where you can wait and see what the buyer will think of the item. Leave a nice comment and you shall receive a nice one in return as long as you are following the rules above.

  6. Step 6

Pack the item well and ship it in a timely manner. 1-2 days after the auction is over is an acceptable time. Use delivery confirmation on all items to keep track and e-mail the confirmation # to your buyer. Include a little handwritten thank you note in the package.

  7. Step 7

If you do not receive feedback and you track the package and you see it was received contact the buyer to make sure that they are satisfied and if they are kindly ask for positive feedback. Now go out there and find some stuff to sell on eBay.

on 7/27/2009 My first days on eBay I practically gave things away so that customers could see they were dealing with a person of integrity. I shipped out every thing in a timely manner and did not inflate the postage rates like some sellers do on eBay. My rating was 100% for over 70 items I sold.

on 4/28/2009 Good job! I have two ebaY selling accounts and 3,000 feedbacks between them, also 100% positive. I add delivery confirmation to each usps package, it only costs me 18 cents when I use shipping assistant. It is well worth it, peace of mind for seller and buyer that packages are/were delivered.
