It's very Easy! My Granny was a great cook. Every time she'd cook she would 'put her foot in it'. Meaning she cooked very well. So I'm going to share this pound cake recipe with you! I hope you like it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One Pound of softened real Butter.
  • One and a half Cups of Sugar
  • Two Cups of All Purpose Flour
  • Six Eggs
  • One Teaspoon of Vanilla
  • A Bundt Cake Pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Large Spoon or Mixer
  • Large Plate
  • Love
  1. Step 1

    Set oven to 375.

  2. Step 2

In the Mixing Bowl add all of the Butter, Flour, Sugar and then stir with your spoon or start mixing it in your mixer.

  3. Step 3

Next add the vanilla. Stir until kind of smooth.

  4. Step 4

Now add the eggs one or two at a time. Crack them open in a cup. Then add to the batter so that there won't be any egg-shells in your cake. Then stir until batter is smooth. Repeat this until you've used up all seven eggs. Batter should be smooth and mixed well at this point.

  5. Step 5

Now take your Bundt Cake Pan and grease it all over the inside with a thin layer of soft butter. Use your hands as if you were massaging the cake pan. Now pour some flour in the cake pan to cover the butter. Do not touch the flour! Just shake it around so that the flour covers the butter. Shake all the excess flour out of the pan. This step is necessary so that the cake won't stick to the pan.

  6. Step 6

Cook your cake on the middle rack of your oven at 375 degrees. It should take 45 minutes to an hour.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check to see if your cake is done by sticking a fork in it while in the oven.
  • If batter comes off on the fork then its not done. Wait until the fork comes out clean.
  • If you start to smell the cake go check on it.
  • Do not open the oven too many times.
  • Don't add too much sugar or it might come out too sweet.
  • Mix this cake in the order I told you or you might have a hard time mixing it.
  • Always wear oven mittens.
  • Depending on your elevation meaning where you live, the cake could cook faster so just keep an eye on it.
