How to Play Scrabble on Your iPhone or iPod Touch with Your Facebook Friends

The Scrabble application's updates are free.

Scrabble has evolved from a traditional board game to a new, digital format. One way to play the game is via an application created just for iPhone and iPod Touch devices. Play as a single player, connect with a random player or challenge your Facebook friends. Your Facebook friends must also have Scrabble on Facebook or an Apple device to take part in a game. An Internet connection is required -- either wireless or 3G will work.

Instructions

1. Download the Scrabble application from your device's App Store. The application is found in the "Games" category. Alternatively, tap "Search" in the bottom toolbar to find the application by name. Once you find the Scrabble application, tap the blue icon with the price and then "Buy Now." Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted and wait for the application to download to your device.

2. Tap the application once to open it. Choose "Play With Friends" from the menu.

3. Enter an email address when prompted and tap "Continue." Select a password and enter your date of birth. Tap "Done."

4. Choose a username for yourself and tap "Save."

5. Tap "Connect With Your Friends" and choose "Facebook Sign In" from the menu.

6. Enter your Facebook email and password when the "Facebook Mobile" window pops up and tap "Log In." Tap "Allow" when asked if you want to give the Scrabble application access to your profile information.

7. Tap the green "+" next to a friend's name in the list provided. You are allowed to select a maximum of three friends at one time. Tap "Play" to start a new game. In the future, go to the "Connect With Your Friends" link in the menu and then "Facebook" to start games.
