How to give a Mother's Day gift of flowers for under $10
Flowers are a very common gift for Mother's Day. However, buying flowers can be expensive. If you are on a very limited budget right now, you can still give your mother flowers on Mother's Day. It is possible to create a hanging basket, planter, or container filled with lovely flowers for less than $10.

1
Go to a dollar store near you. Purchase one or two planters or baskets.
I found planters for $1 on a shopping trip to the dollar store. -

While there, purchase a bag of potting soil. That will cost you about $2.

Buy a six-pack of flowers such as marigolds or petunias. Check prices locally. I found six packs of flowers at a grocery store for $1.25 per pack. Garden centers also have packs of flowers but they may be slightly more expensive.
