When peeling an orange with your hands, it can get a little messy. Orange peels sometimes get stuck in your fingernails, and the juice squirts everywhere, not to mention it seems as if it takes a long time to peel an orange when you are hungry.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cutting board
  1. Step 1

Place the orange on the cutting board.

  2. Step 2

Carefully cut a small circle at the top core and bottom core of the orange (where the navel is) using the knife. Do not cut deep into the orange, but cut so that the knife is completely through the surface of the orange.

  3. Step 3

Cut the orange into four sections starting at the top core and ending at the bottom. Again, do not cut deep into the orange; only slice through the surface. The orange peels will fall off.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you hold the orange in one hand when cutting it with the knife.
  • Be careful with using the knife.
