How to Clean Oak Cabinets

Oak cabinets can become greasy and dirty easily. The steam from washing dishes can create a film on your cabinets. Cooking dinner can lead to a greasy mess. Things You'll Need

• Wood cleaning product
• Sponge
• Terry cloth
• Terry hand towel

Instructions

1. Tackle one oak cabinet at a time. Run your sponge under warm water. Clean any residue off the cabinet with the warm water.

2. Use about nickel-size drop of cleaner on the terry cloth. If you have a spray cleaner, mist four squirts onto the cloth.

3. Clean the oak cabinet. Begin at the top. Rub your terry cloth over from left to right in a line. Complete this step for the entire first cabinet. Pay close attention to any corners or rifts in the wood. Gunk and filth can gather in these places.

4. Rinse the sponge and compress the additional water out. Wipe the oak cabinet from top to bottom. This will get rid of any leftover cleaner or stubborn grime.

5. Use the terry hand towel to wipe the cabinet dry. This will assist your oak cabinets to shine and eliminate any water streaks or spots.

6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 to clean the additional oak cabinets.
