How to Make Bead Bracelet Patterns
Creating beaded bracelets is a fun hobby, or can be a creative way to earn extra cash. It is easy to learn how to string a beaded bracelet, but often it is coming up with a creative design that is difficult. Proper organization, and layout of the beads is essential in the design creation process of beaded bracelets.

1
Purchase a bead board, bead storage containers, and a variety of beads. Look for a storage container that has many sections for organizing. This will make it easier when you design your bracelet. These items can be found at the local craft store.

2
Find a flat, well-lit surface to work on. Set out the bead board, and place each type of bead in its own compartment. It works best to place light colors in one container, and dark colors in another. Save the tags for each bead type, and place them in the compartments with the beads. This will make it easy to record the style, color and size later.

Look at the beads in both organizers. Try to find coordinating colors and shapes. Dark and light contrasting colors look nice together, as well as pastels. Once you have a design in mind, begin placing the beads on one of the bead board tracks. Play around with colors and shapes until you come up with a design that you like.

Write down the color combination. Use the notebook to write down the bead color, style and size. Make a note of the order in which they are laid out, and name the design. Naming the design makes it easier to reference later. String the beads or place them back in the container. Repeat the process to create new designs.

Tips & Warnings
Take photos of the design layouts for future reference.
Beads are small and roll easily. Keep them on the bead board or in the container to avoid losing them.
