Things You'll Need:
- AOL membership information
-
Step 1
Go to AOL "Help" for troubleshooting and other concerns. If you have problems with your subscription, it is possible that these issues may be resolved without having to cancel. Some subscribers may think that a certain game is faulty, but this may be due to the incompatibility of browsers with the computer's operating system. Make sure that you have resolved any issues, and only cancel if you find that you you cannot resolve the problem.
-
Step 2
Make sure you have your AOL information. This may include screen name and password, credit card information and account statements that you've received as an AOL member. If you have only been using a trial subscription, make note of the date when you activated it.
-
Step 3
Visit AOL's "Product Central" to request a cancellation. Fill out your name, email and contact number, so that a representative may contact you. Also state the nature of your inquiry, such as canceling a service. Select the "Learning Games" as the applicable service. You may further discuss your intention to cancel using the inquiry box found in the form.
-
Step 4
Click on "My Account" on the upper left hand corner. This link will take you to your account, and will give you a summary of the subscriptions for which you are currently enrolled. You may check if your subscription has been canceled, and if not, you may need to follow up with them by attempting a second cancellation on your own. Click on the specific subscription you want to discontinue. The page will provide you with further directions to confirm.
-
Step 5
Click "Submit." Make sure that you get to the confirmation page to secure your cancellation, because depending on your billing cycle and deadlines, you may be charged for the services if your cancellation didn't go through. You can also contact AOL by phone (the telephone number will be on your account statement) to check that you have canceled your subscription, and to learn more about your new monthly premium for any other services you are using with AOL.
