Rub-on stickers are an easy-to-make, easy-to-use way to decorate crafts, scrapbooks and even furniture. Create these rub-ons directly from your home computer, using any picture you want.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photo-editing program
  • Transparency or page protector
  • Printer
  • Popsicle stick

    How to Make Rub-on Stickers

  1. Step 1

Open the picture you want to turn into a decal in any editing program that allows you to mirror, or reverse, the image. Adobe Photoshop works well, but is extremely expensive to buy. Paint.net is a simple free program that will work, too (see Resources for link to download).

  2. Step 2

Edit the picture to your liking, and mirror the image. This command is called "Flip Horizontal" in Photoshop. The image will now be flipped so when it transfers, it will be back to the original design.

  3. Step 3

Print onto a transparency, printing on the glossy side, or onto a page protector. Either side of the page protector can be used.

  4. Step 4

Let the ink dry completely and transfer onto your project. To transfer, lay the image face down and run a clean popsicle stick over the back side of the decal. The decal will rub off onto your project.
