How to Make a Robin Pompom

Pompom robins are beautiful to display on a seasonal table or in a classroom, and all of the supplies you need can be found at any arts or crafts supply store.

Place the smaller two donut shapes together, and wrap brown yarn around and though the center of the donut. Continue wrapping yarn around the donut pattern until it is full of yarn, and you can no longer pass any more yarn through the center. Repeat this with the larger two donuts, except wrap half of the donut with orange yarn, and the other half with brown yarn.

Cut through the yarn around the outside edge, using scissors. To do this, push the tip of the scissors in between the two donut shapes, and begin cutting carefully all the way around the edge. Do not let the yarn slip off the donut shapes. Once you have cut around the entire edge, wrap a piece of yarn around the center, and knot it tightly. Then, gently slip the donut shapes off of the yarn. Trim the edges of the pompom to make the ends even. Repeat this process with both the large and small donut shapes.

Cut out a small triangle from yellow felt, using scissors. Cut out two small circles from black felt. Glue the circle to the smaller pompom where the eyes will be. Glue the yellow triangle to the smaller pompom where the beak will be. Glue a brown feather to the back of the larger pompom for the robin's tail.
