How to Change Audi TT Transmission Fluid
Audi TT (twin turbo) is a fun compact sports car with the feel of a luxury sedan. They are built not only for speed, but provide the owner with a sense of class and comfort not found in many sports cars in this price range. There are a few maintenance items that, if performed regularly, will assure a long and useful life for your TT. One such job is replacing the transmission fluid. Changing the transmission fluid is not difficult, but it will require a special Audi-specific drive bit that can be purchased from a local auto parts store. Purchase the bit and follow the steps below to get a "good as new" feel to your transmission.

Drive the car for about 10 minutes to warm up the fluid and make it easier to drain it completely. Park the car on a level surface, set the parking brake and use the jack to jack the front of the car off of the ground.

Crawl underneath of the engine compartment and locate the large, square transmission pan right next to the car's driveshaft. On the center of the bottom of the transmission pan is the drain plug. Use the Audi bit mounted in the socket wrench to remove the plug.

Allow all of the transmission fluid to drain into the drain pan, then replace the drain plug. On the driver's side corner of the transmission will be the transmission fill hole. Remove the plug filling the hole with the Audi bit and then insert the plastic tube from the fluid pump into the hole.

Pump 3 qt. of oil into the transmission and then replace the filler hole plug. Lower the car off of the jack and test drive it.

Wear gloves and goggles when draining the fluid, as it could splash in your eyes or on your face.
