How to Make a Ribbon Bridal Bouquet
Making ribbon bridal bouquets is a long standing tradition as part of the wedding celebrations. It occurs at the bridal shower while the bride opens her presents. It is customary for the maid of honor or a bridesmaid to create a ribbon bouquet with all the ribbons from the shower gifts, which the bride then holds during the rehearsal. It may be a silly tradition, but it's lots of fun and makes for a good photo opportunity.
Things You'll Need
- Thick paper plate
- Scissors
- Ribbons and bows from bride's gifts
- Double-stick tape
- Small rubber band

1
With a pair of scissors or a sharp pencil, poke a hole in the center of the plate. Poke 10 smaller holes around the plate.

2
As the bride unwraps her presents, save the ribbons and bows. Poke the ends of the ribbons through the holes and pull them through the bottom of the plate so the ends hang loosely and the bows remains on top of the plate.

3
Use double-stick tape to attach bows without ribbons to the plate. Cover the plate entirely with all the ribbons and bows.

4
Bring the ends of the ribbons together under the plate and cinch them into a bunch. Take a small rubber band and wrap it around the ribbon bunch. Take another ribbon and tie a bow around the rubber band.

Tips & Warnings
Use a thick paper plate or stack a couple thin paper plates together to create a sturdy surface. Keep the ribbon bouquet stored in a safe place so it won't be ruined between the bridal shower and the rehearsal.
