How to Buy an Online Video Game Design Kit
Designing video games can be as fun and rewarding as actually playing them. Many people would love to design their own games but do not have the skills and knowledge to do it themselves. Anyone can design a game using an online video game design kit. Knowing where to look will help you design and implement a game.

Tips & Warnings
Prices for game-designing kits, software and applications can vary. XGameStation retails for about $200 for each kit, Abyssal is free for 10 days with a scaled charge afterward, and Kodu is free for XBox community users. After it becomes available, download Kodu for free. Kodu, formerly Bodu, is a user-friendly software program developed by Microsoft that allows users--even children--to program their own games. Kodu uses the XBox 360 controller to create the entire game through the use of interactive menus. Kodu-made games will be usable on XBox 360 and PCs. Kodu is currently in development and will be available on Xbox Live! in spring 2009.
