How to Attract Girls Without Being Annoying

The annoying, socially inept guy who's always trying to get the hot girls is a comic stereotype in our society, frequently portrayed in movies and television shows. You don't want to be seen as that type of guy, so cultivate the habits below and you will come off as suave and sophisticated---or at least as a really nice and likable guy.

1. Burping, passing gas, chewing with your mouth open and using foul language are big turn-offs to the average female. Brush up on your table manners. Don't be afraid to open doors and say "please" and "thank you." Good manners are classy and attractive. Show consideration for that special girl by behaving like a gentleman, and you will instantly increase your attractiveness rating.

2. Show respect in all your interactions with a potential girlfriend. Keep your eyes on her face when you are talking to her, rather than focusing on other parts of her anatomy. Don't talk about past girlfriends or exploits with the opposite sex. Let her know that you respect her by keeping your word and showing up for dates on time. Call if you can't make it or have to be late.

3. Treat a girl like she is the most special person in the world. Don't be afraid to let a girl know that you are interested in her. Playing hard to get can be annoying and result in relationships that never get off the ground. In a group setting, listen to her above everyone else. Be the first to offer assistance if she is carrying heavy packages or needs a ride somewhere.

4. Perform special, thoughtful gestures. Get to know the girl's likes, dislikes, interests and hobbies. She will be flattered that you find her interesting. Find activities for dates that she will be interested in, such as concerts by her favorite artist, picnics in the park, horseback riding or playing her favorite arcade games. Give her thoughtful gifts, not generic candy or roses. Give her a bouquet of daisies or a book of her favorite poetry if that's what she likes.

5. Be yourself. Nothing is more annoying than a phony person using some cheesy line he learned on TV or from his buddies. A genuine person is an attractive person. If you try to put on a fake personality just to impress a girl, she will quickly see through it, and it will gain you nothing except her disrespect. If she likes you, she will accept you for who you are---warts, weaknesses and all.
