Read a Full Aries Horoscope

Reading a full horoscope for any sign requires in-depth knowledge of astrology. It also helps to have a heightened intuitive sensibility. To read a full Aries horoscope, the astrologer must not only read all of the signs, planets and houses, but also must read natal aspects and transits. This is not newspaper entertainment astrology. Rather, it is a question of mathematics and intuition.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Interpret the value of the sun in Aries. Remember that while a person may have her sun in Aries, her birth chart is a complex and unique fingerprint of the whole person. A person with an Aries sun is born in the fire element and the cardinal mode. She will be forward-moving, a possible pioneer. Aries is the sign of the ram, and Aries' characteristics will be at the heart of development of the Aries self-image.

  2. Step 2

Determine the moon and ascendant signs. With the sun, these two natal signs have the most obvious influence on a person's emotions and karmic path in this lifetime. The moon sign will describe the sun in Aries' emotional nature. Ask Aries what he responds to on an emotional level, or what his emotional challenges are. Next, discuss your Aries' ascendant. This is the sign of personality, what is most outwardly obvious.

  3. Step 3

Integrate a lengthy description of the remaining planets and of the astrological houses. Planets, including the sun and moon, mediate the force of astrological signs to the person. Each planet has a function and a dysfunctional possibility. For example, Mars' function is the development of will. Under certain aspects, Mars' dysfunction might display as cruelty or irritability, to name but two possibilities. The houses, first through 12th, are where the planets in the signs reside. Simply put, each house rules an area of human life, and has a corresponding sign and an associated planet. The second house is the house of money. Its corresponding sign is Taurus, and its associated planet is Venus.

  4. Step 4

Bring it all together. An astrological reading for an Aries must coordinate and relate what it means to have a specific sign in a certain house and how that confluence is affected (in ways of ease or challenge) by the positions of all the other planets. A thorough natal chart reading should take several hours.

  5. Step 5

Look closely at the chart in its whole. Note where the majority of planets reside in the chart. Are most of the planets In the bottom or top half, or in the east or west hemispheres? The top half represents objectivity, the bottom-subjectivity. This gives a view of Aries' experience of her reality. The eastern hemisphere represents freedom, whereas the western side is the hemisphere of fate or destiny. This is not an aspect of the personality. It is the person's world view--the rules of how she plays the game of life.
