How to Find an IP Address From Hotmail Email

As anyone who has email knows, eventually you're going to get a certain amount of junk email. Some of it may be harmless, while some can be inappropriate and harassing. If you need to report a harassing email or just want to know the IP address for your own reasons, the process of finding the IP address is very simple. There are even websites available to tell you where the IP address originates.

Instructions

1. 

   Log into your Hotmail account.

2. Click on the "Mail" button at the top of the screen.

3. Right-click on the email for which you would like to learn the IP address.

4. Scroll down to "View Source" and click on it. This will bring up all of the known information on the email.

5. Scroll down to "Received: from" and a set of numbers inside a pair of brackets. Those numbers are the IP address of the email.
