Instructions

    • 1

Go to the store and pick up a plastic container that you can use as a mold for your ice block--whichever size you want, as long as you have the space to freeze it.

    • 2

Fill the container with at least 3 inches of water so that your luge is thick enough and won't break.

    • 3

Place the container in a freezer and let it freeze. This may take a couple of days, so plan ahead.

    • 4

Take out the ice by flipping the container and letting it fall out. Do this on a table, or place it where you want it go right away. Those blocks can be heavy.

    • 5

Make your channel with a hammer and chisel, but make sure to go slow and not break the whole block. This could be tricky, so practice before doing it on your actual luge.

    • 6

Pour hot water on the luge to smooth it out.
