4
Cut out shelves if you want them. Each one is 1 foot, 4 inches by 1 foot, 11 inches.

5
Sand all rough edges off the cut pieces. Apply wood stain or paint. Allow them to dry.
Assembling the Cabinet
-
6
Place the top and bottom pieces on their edge with the 2-foot sides down 3 feet apart. Lay the two side pieces in between them to form a 2-by-3 foot rectangular frame. Attach the frame together by driving three 1-inch screws through both ends of the top and bottom into the sides.
-
7
Place a 2-by-3 foot piece over the frame. Attach it by driving a 1-inch screw down through it every 6 inches around the edges into the frame.
-
8
Stand the cabinet up and install any shelves. Position them snug against the back of the cabinet, and drive two 1-inch screws through the sides of the cabinet into each shelf.
-
9
Attach two hinges on one 3-foot side of the door. Screw half of both hinges to the 1/2-inch edge 3 inches inwards from the shorter ends. Ensure the hinge portion faces the front side of the door.
-
10
Screw the other half of the hinges to the cabinet.
-
11
Screw a handle on the door. Your new storage cabinet is now complete.
-
12
Use the stud finder to find a wall stud near the area you want to hang the cabinet. Drive a 2-inch screw through the inside back of the cabinet into the stud. Position the screw 6 inches down from the top of the cabinet in the center. Drive another screw through the back 6 inches up from the bottom.
