Unscrew the four to five nuts on the wheel that hold the rim to the riding mowers axle.

    • 2

    • 3

Lay the wheel rim on the 4-by-4-by-4 inch block of wood. This will make the tire sit raised off of the ground by an inch or two.

    • 4

Remove the tire valve cap. Use your finger or the flathead screwdriver to pry the air valve stem to one side and release all the air from the tire.

    • 5

Pry along the inner lip of the tire between the rim and the tire; pry this lip of the tire over the rim completely on one side. Flip the tire over on the block with the block still in the center of the rim. Push down on opposite sides of the tire with your hands and push the tire off the rim.
