How to Make Goose Decoys From Tires
While they are much heavier and bulkier than wooden decoys, goose decoys made from tires cost a mere fraction of the 15 dollars or more you might expect to pay per store-bought decoy. Tire decoys may not make very realistic looking geese, but the contrast of matte, light-absorbing black with a white-painted underbelly is enough to make most geese come in closer for a look, in which case they become your dinner.

Tips & Warnings
You can cut a neck and head online from plywood or even cardboard, if you like, and hot-glue this to a wooden stake. When you deploy your tire goose decoys you can stab the stake into the ground so it looks as though the goose has a head.
